Micaela
AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals
Micaela is located in Boston MA and started working with dogs professionally in 2013. Prior to working with dogs she worked with horses for many years and still regularly rides. From a young age she found animal training fascinating, and she enjoys researching all aspects of animal behavior. Micaela has a holistic approach, taking nutrition, fitness, life style, genetics, and so much more into consideration working with her clients. Her goal is to help build healthy dog and human relationships through training programs that meet the human’s and dog’s needs. She is passionate about creating a more educated and safer dog community. For her, dog training is far more than a few commands and tricks. It’s a lifestyle choice for you and your dog, and a good one at that!
She has two dogs, a Boston Terrier and a Belgian Tervuren who frequently help her during her training classes. She does NACSW Nose Work and fitness training with both of her dogs. When she is not training dogs she enjoys horse back riding, drawing, and gardening.

Beth
Bethany (Beth) has always been a dog lover. Coming from the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania, Beth and her family have always enjoyed owning pets, from dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, snakes, lizards, birds, and being adopted by the neighbors' horse and cows. She enjoys being the "dog person" of her family and spending most of her time with the family dogs during family gatherings. In 2024, she got her own border collie puppy, named Sitka, and has been enjoying applying her training skills in Sitka's puppy training! He has already proved to be a great assistant for her at Community Canine as well!
For 6 years, Beth worked with individuals with deafblindness and special needs at a residential school outside of Boston. She enjoyed getting to know these unique students and learning how to best accommodate their specific needs with behavior modification techniques, creativity, and modifying communication in various ways. She has also been walking dogs and pet sitting for most of her adult life.
In her spare time, Beth enjoys being outdoors hiking, walking, camping, and enjoying winter sports, preferably with a dog or two at her side. Beth is interested in training service dogs in the future and hopes to gain experience working towards that goal through Community Canine. She is very excited to have fun training, walking and hiking your dogs!

Zack
Zachary "Zack" wanted to work with animals all his life. He was always interested in science and behavior. After high school and some study at Bristol Community College with a focus in Human Services, he worked 8 years mostly in residential care of adults with disabilities. A career from which he learned a wide variety of skills and gained much valuable experience.
In 2020, Zack decided to make the leap and switch careers from working with people to dogs. Working a variety of jobs in the industry over a few years, he has been a Hiker/ Trainer apprentice with Community Canine since January of 2022.
Zack is not only very good with dogs, he is great with people. He leads with patience and empathy both with dogs and their humans. He believes in a positive first approach and that training should be fun for the dog and owner.
Zack lives in North Attleboro and has a rescue dog named Phoebe.

Marie
Marie has had a deep love for animals all her life. Growing up in the south west coast of Ireland she is fortunate to have grown up around animals and has a deep appreciation of nature. Her parents owned land with chicken, ducks, turkeys, cows, sheep, and her father trained many border collies over the years to herd his mountain sheep. Up until a few years ago, Marie lived with two bearded dragons and a turtle, However now it is just her and Butter. Butter is Marie’s 18 year old, rescue, Lab/pit mix. Butter had been returned to the shelter 3 times before Marie and she found each other. Butter was initially unable to be around people and other dogs but with a lot of love, patience and devotion Butter now loves people and is more secure and confident around other animals.
Marie’s background up until recently was mainly in Veterinary practice management. She decided that she wanted to work more hands on with animals rather than humans. Marie self describes as someone that “adores animals and loves people”. She also worked as a client service supervisor at MSPCA and as an adoption counselor at Richmond SPCA. It was while in Richmond that she decided to commit to dog training. Working with dogs that had fearful, aggressive and reactive tendencies, opened her mind up to how misunderstood dogs can be. Ever since then, she moved back to MA and has been working with Community Canine.
Marie’s ultimate goal is to work with fearful, nervous, anxious, aggressive dogs, to help rehabilitate them, show them compassion and understanding and to help owners or potential owners to understand them better so that they remain in the home or find the home of a loving family.
