Socialization Sessions

Socialization Sessions are a great low- cost opportunity to get extra guidance and practice in between training classes. This service does not include new curriculum or a follow up email, it is a way to practice the homework you already have with a trainer present.

If requested we can pair you with another client who is working on similar skills or skills that compliment what you and your dog are working on. The following is a list of scenarios/skills that our clients use Socialization Sessions for.

  • Recall away from distractions: We meet you in a park on trail with a dog and you work on recalling away from us.

  • Neutrality to other dogs: We meet you at a location of your choosing and we work on using play and obedience to build your dogs neutrality to the dog we have brought with us.

  • Appropriate play behavior: We bring another dog and in a controlled setting allow them to play together. This sessions usually include working in neutrality and obedience to start.

  • Polite behavior around guests: We come over to your house and work on having polite behavior around us in the house.

  • Progressing to more stimulating situations: For dogs who do better when they have another dog to model after, we can go to new/stimulating places with you and one of our dogs to help build your dogs confidence (and many times your confidence.)

We are open to suggestions or additional scenarios/skill that you want to work on. This service is really designed to enable short and productive practice sessions in a controlled environment with a skilled handler to help you.

1/2 hour: $50

1 hour : $80
